OVEN & STOVE ISSUES

WILL NOT IGNITE

If an electric stove does not ignite, first be sure the appliance power cord is plugged in and if all circuit breakers are on. You should check the pilot light on gas appliances. If the stove is plugged in and the pilot light is burning in the oven, that means a different part will need to be repaired. The cause of the problem could be the infinite switch, surface element, burner igniter or bake and broil element.

BURNER WON’T HEAT

A burner or stove with no heat won’t do much good. Your oven doesn’t heat if there’s a broken oven sensor or a malfunctioning bake element. A burner won’t turn on if an element breaks or the burner switch or the terminal block do not work. We are able to repair these common problems in no more than 1-2 hours after an appointment begins.

TIMER PROBLEMS

It’s reasonable to assume the control panel on an oven is broken when the program or timer functions are not working. In this case, we can repair control panels for GE, LG, Sears, KitchenAid, Kenmore and most other brands and models of ranges, stoves and ovens. We offer a warranty on all of the control boards and the replacement parts we use for this stove repair service.

OVEN IS VERY HOT

You want a hot oven. But not too hot! If the oven heat is out of control, it could be because of a problem with the thermostat or sensor. Our appliance technicians know how to identify the cause of the problem and then fix it. Be careful if troubleshooting this problem for fear of burns from the very high and totally unpredictable heat source.

IGNITER WON’T LIGHT

A common stove problem is when an igniter will glow but it will not light. The cause is sometimes from either a broken electronic control, surface igniter, safety valve or temperature sensor. We determine if we can fix these applianceparts or if we will have to replace the parts.

DOOR WILL NOT OPEN

Newer self-cleaning ovens can experience door issues often. The door doesn’t open after the oven is done cleaning itself. We inspect the door latch, thermostat and seal to identify why the door will not open up and then we complete the necessary repair in order to correct the problem.
